PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an entrance/exit control device and an entrance/exit control system which can easily respond to a control request of various kinds of buildings. SOLUTION: This entrance/exit control device 14 for operating lock and unlock of an electric lock 18 is so constructed that readers of different kinds such as a magnetic or non-contact reader 19, a fingerprint check reader 17 or the like can be connected to each other by a bus system, and a reader kind is discriminated from data by a transmission format transferred from an arbitrary reader to the entrance/exit control device 14 to read individual data required for locking and unlocking the electric lock 18 and lock and unlock the electric lock 18. The entrance/exit control devices are connected to each other by plural bus-system transmission lines to form an entrance/exit control system.
