PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely open and shut a curtain with a good appearance without largely occupying a setting site. SOLUTION: This opening and shutting device is equipped with a pair of rail members 2 provided in line with shapes of both side sections of a required window section W and having continuous storage sections S, sliders 7 provided along the rail members 2 in a movable manner, a curtain 1 approximately made in the shape of the window section W so as to cover the window W, a guide member 3 having joint plates 6 capable of being bent with elasticity in the end of a longitudinal strip-shaped bearing plate 4, provided to a site used as the opening and shutting end of the curtain 1 and, at the same time, this device is provided with swing levers 8 provided straddling each rail member 2 to the sliders 7 so as to swing in the opening/shutting direction of the curtain 1 and bearing the joint plates 6 of the guide member 3 on one end thereof, cams 11 provided to the rail members and setting the swing direction of the oscillation levers 8 by coming into contact with the other ends of the levers 8, and driving devices 12 moving the sliders 7 along the rail members 2.
