PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image fixing method, capable of shortening an image outputting time for a first sheet and keeping required temperature for fixing with little energy. SOLUTION: Liquid having large heat capacity, such as a gel is stored in a tank 1, heated by a temperature adjusting device 2 and fed to the inside of a fixing roller 3 through a circulation means 4. The temperature of the roller 3 is detected by a thermistor 6 and fed back to a control circuit part 7 so as to control the device 2. By using the liquid having large heat capacity, that is, the gel (oil, silicone) as the heat source of an image-fixing device for fixing a toner image, the image-outputting time for the first sheet is shortened and energy saving is realized.
