PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly clean an upper tube bundle of an evaporator by using compressed water in a narrow small space of the tube of the evaporator. SOLUTION: The present apparatus is an upper tube bundle cleaning apparatus of an evaporator comprises a cleaning head extension supporting apparatus 50 having an expandable cylinder for lifting the cleaning head in the state where a passage slot 71 is inserted in order to position the cleaning head to the neighbourhood of the passage slot 71 of the upper tube bundle, and the cleaning head. The cleaning head leads a fluid located in the vicinity of the tube of the upper tube bundle whereby the vaporizer is cleaned from an upper to a lower portion to wash out deposites downward in a cleaning process.
