Gamma-1 and gamma-3 anti-human CD23 monoclonal antibodies and use thereof as therapeutics by inhibiting IgE expression

An anti-human CD23 monoclonal antibody comprising a constant region that binds to human Fc gamma receptors and inhibits IgE expression. The monoclonal antibody has a binding affinity of at least 100nM. Also claimed is a pharmaceutical composition containing said CD23 antibody, and the use of the antibody for treating and preventing a disease condition where the inhibition of IgE is therapeutically or prophylactically beneficial.
