PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound useful for improving dynamic characteristics and capable of being applied to many uses such as coating materials, structural materials, optical materials, etc. SOLUTION: A compound of formula I (A is a group containing two or more divalent aromatic hydrocarbon groups), for example, 2,6-bis(trivinysilyl) naphthalene. The compound of formula I can be obtained by reacting a halogenated multiaromatic ring compound of formula III with a trivinyl- substituted silicon compound of formula IV (Y is a halogen or an alkoxy) in the presence of a group 2 metal. A cured product by the hydrosilylation reaction of the compound of formula I with a silicon hydride compound can be used as a coating, a protecting coating, and may be used as an adhesive, a tackifer, and contact adhesive.
