PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dry distillation thermal decomposition molten combustor for waste in which environmental contamination due to emission of unburnt matters or odor is prevented by completely combusting gas generated through thermal decomposition of waste standing in a thermal decomposition drum during power interruption. SOLUTION: In a dry distillation thermal decomposition molten combustor comprising a dry distillation thermal decomposition drum 2 with a rotary driver for thermally waste C into thermal decomposition gas G and residue D of thermal decomposition, and a molten combustor 4 for melting and combusting the thermal decomposition gas G and combustibles in the residue D of thermal decomposition, outlet side of a waste heat boiler 7 is coupled with the inside of a chimney 10 through a bypass duct 35. When input power to a power receiving facility 31 is missed, required power is supplied from an emergency generator 32 through a diverter switch 33 and the molten combustor 4 is conducted with the inside of the chimney 10 by opening the bypass damper 36 of a bypass duct 35.
