PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation apparatus, for the usage strength of a tent pole, by which the strength corresponding to the actual usage state of the tent pole can be evaluated more simply. SOLUTION: A pair of chuck members 2, 2 which are attached onto a base 1 at a prescribed interval and which holds both ends of an arc-shaped tent pole 3 are provided. A pulling means 9 which is installed at the base 1 so that the prescribed intermediate place of the tent pole 3 both ends of which are held by the pair of chuck members 2, 2 is pulled downward is provided. A measuring means 8 which measures a tensile force by the pulling means 9 is provided. A position in which at least one out of the pair of chuck members 2, 2 is attached onto the base 1 is constituted so as to be freely selected and changed.
