<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable wavelength optical branching device realizing an optical branching ratio in an optional wavelength. SOLUTION: This device is the optical branching device for branching an incident optical signal, and is provided with an acoustooptical effect modulation medium 69 made incident with the optical signal collimated by a collimate lens 57 and an ultrasonic wave generation means 73 generating an ultrasonic wave of a prescribed frequency in the acoustooptical effect modulation medium 69 in order to branch a part of the optical signal by Bragg diffraction in the acoustooptical effect modulation medium 69. Then, by adjusting the frequency and the intensity of the ultrasonic wave from the ultrasonic wave generation means 73, the Bragg diffraction angleθand the Bragg diffraction intensity of the optical signal are adjusted, and the optical branching ratio in the optical wavelength is realized.</p> |
