PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer wall member in which favorable decoration effect is provided, and in which generation of distortion by deformation of a surface plate and the outer wall member is prevented to prevent deterioration of appearance. SOLUTION: To a depth wall 4' of a recessed part 4 formed at a proper part in the surface of an outer wall base member 2, a U-shaped base member side connection piece 5 is protruded. With the base member side connection piece 5, a U-shaped connection piece 6 contained in the recessed part 4 to be protruded to a back surface of a surface plate 3 is assembled in such a way that a center piece 6a of the connection piece 6 is overlapped with the back surface side of a center piece 5a of the base member side connection piece 5.
