PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tire lustering coating composition which imparts good luster to tires to give excellent external appearance and is reduced in the adhesion of dirt without surface tackiness and can form high quality films excellent in durability, adhesion and water resistance, and moreover, can protect the surfaces of tires for a long period of time to inhibit the occurrence of cracks. SOLUTION: This coating composition comprises, as the film component, 5-40 wt.% acrylate ester polymer and/or methacrylate ester polymer having a glass transition temperature of 0-50 deg.C and 10-40 wt.%, based on the film component, plasticizer. It is preferred to further incorporate not more than 10 wt.%, based on the coated film component, rubber aging-resistant agent and/or not more than 10 wt.% carbon black into the coating composition.
