PURPOSE: A method for controlling the menu of a digital A/V(Audio/Video) apparatus is provided to control remotely a menu of a digital A/V(Audio/Video) apparatus connected to a server through a cable. CONSTITUTION: By downloading touch pad type menu screen data of a number of digital A/V apparatus, which are connected to a server such as a digital TV(200) through a cable, with a remote controller through the server, and displaying on a monitor(108) on the remote controller, a user can perform menu control of the digital A/V apparatus connected to the server through the remote controller with a touch pad type, and the availability and convenience for the menu control is improved steeply.
