The center pillar structure has a center pillar (1) divided into top section (2) and bottom section (3). The top section is inclined rearward at the vehicle body width direction inner side, and is welded to the bottom section. The top edge of the bottom section is diagonally excised to the vehicle body width direction outer side and lower side. A reinforcing board (6), whose top edge is extended and coupled to the top section of the center pillar, reinforces the coupling state of the center pillar bottom section and side sill (5).
