<p>PURPOSE: An AC generator for a vehicle is provided to fix a magnet without requiring very fine tolerance and to reduce the danger to damage the magnet. CONSTITUTION: Each pole(10) has an outer convex portion(12), an inner concave circumferential surface(14), and two triangular side surfaces as well as two flat side surfaces(16) adjacent to the circumferential surface. Each side surface(16) has a slot(18) having a U-shaped outline, and a groove has an axis(21) extended along the longitudinal direction of the side surface. A rotor includes permanent magnets(20) having a rectangular parallelogrammic shape and a rectangular outline orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the magnet. Also, each magnet is inserted between the side surface of each pole and a side surface(22) of the slot, and an adhesive agent layer(26) is mounted on the bottom of the groove. The flow caused by tolerance is reduced in a radial direction of a rotor axis by the flexibility of the adhesive agent layer.</p> |
