The valve has a housing (112) with a valve chamber (118) with input (114) and output (116) openings, a grooved movable valve slider (120) and grooves in the wall of the valve chamber. In the open state the valve makes a connection between the input and output openings. In the closed state the fluid connection is blocked by the bridges between the grooves (140,142, 144, 114a,160,162). A number of successive pairs of grooves greater than or equal to two is arranged between the input and output openings in the axial direction of the chamber and valve slider. The control valve is an electromagnetically controlled valve with two spatially separate magnetic coils which can exert a magnetic force on the valve slider.
