Spreader apparatus has an ultrasonic sieve (3) to form only the outermost level (1a) of the covering layer (1). It is pitched at an acute angle ( alpha ) to the horizontal, below the ejection point of a shaping stretch (4) for the covering material (5), and is over a continuously moving mat shaping belt (6). Preferred Features: The sieve pitch angle ( alpha ) = 30-45 deg (37 deg ). The ultrasonic sieve is subjected to a frequency = 24 kHz, and has a system to wobble the frequency within tight tolerances.
