PURPOSE: A flow control valve operated electrically and a method for a preparation and an operation are provided to be operated by a pulse width modulated electrical control signal or a variable duty cycle and to be applied for a low voltage operation when contacting at an automatic fuel vapor canister purge control system. CONSTITUTION: A method of preparation and operation of a flow control valve operated electrically comprising: placing multiple strong magnetic pole segments(46) on a rotor(44) and forming a cam(48) on the rotor; journaling the rotor on the pole piece after placing the pole piece in a coil(36); placing a mobile valve member in a valve body having a valve chamber(18) having an inlet port(14) and an outlet port(16); completing a flux loop by centering on the coil having a strong magnetic member; feeding a voltage to the coil, giving an electromagnetic force to the rotation of the rotor, contacting the valve member to the cam, moving the valve member to the inlet port of the outlet port; and controlling the flow between the inlet port and the outlet port. Herein, the flow between the inlet port and the outlet port is controlled by the electrical operation of the flow control valve.
