The present invention relates to a method and a device for producing various parts from non-ferrous metals and alloys according to a casting and pressure-crystallisation technique. The method involves casting the melt into a working chamber, displacing the melt from the chamber into moulding cavities through a moulding channel system and pressurising the metal during the crystallisation process. The pressurisation is achieved by elastically deforming the members constituting the moulding units of the press mould by a value which is larger than or equal to the residual porosity of the parts. The moulding units consist of an insert, a punch and a matrix. The inserts are arranged in openings formed in an intermediate driving plate so as to be capable of axial displacement and so that they are submitted to deformation upon the application of a load.
|
