PURPOSE: A method for controlling reproduction of video compact disk system is provided to enhance a using convenience by simultaneously reproducing programs recorded in a plurality of optical disk. CONSTITUTION: A system control unit stores TOC information to a certain region of a storing unit when a power is provided to a video compact disk system(S10,S20). The system control unit stores reproducing control information and screen component information provided from a VCD player to a certain region of the VCD player(S30). The VCD player drives a tray roulette according to a control of the system control unit and selects an optical disk(S40). The system control unit stores TOC information provided from the VCD player to a certain region of the storing unit(S50). The system control unit stores reproducing control information and screen component information corresponding to the optical disk to a certain region of the VCD player(S60). The VCD player selects the optical disk(S70). The system control unit stores TOC information provided from the VCD player to a certain region of the storing unit(S80). The system control unit stores reproducing control information and screen component information corresponding to the optical disk to a certain region of the VCD player(S90).
