PURPOSE: A digital camera is provided to prevent a processing failure, and display through images of a thing pictured on a monitor in real time, and to remove failure of a signal processing by having increased resolution of a CCD(Charge Coupled Device) camera, as an image signal of first resolution is thinned-out and generated to an image signal of second resolution having lower resolution. CONSTITUTION: A digital camera comprises an image sensor(12), a timing generator(14), a first processor(22), a thinning-out circuit(24), a main memory(26a), a selector(SW1), a record controller, and a reading controller. The image sensor has first resolution. The timing generator reads an image signal of first resolution from the image sensor. The first processor performs a predetermined signal process on the image signal of the first resolution. The thinning-out circuit performs a thinning-out process on the image signal outputted from the first processor, and generates an image signal of second resolution having lower resolution than the first resolution. The main memory has at least two memory regions. The selector alternately selects the two memory regions. The record controller records the image signal of the second resolution one of the two memory regions, on the basis of the output of the selector. The reading controller reads the image signal of the second resolution from the other region on the basis of the output of the selector. |
