Brushable or spreadable composition (A) for application to the skin comprises khellin (I; 4,9-dimethoxy-7-methyl-5H-fura(3,2-g) (1)benzopyran-5-one), or its derivatives or related furanochromones such as angelicin and 7-methylpyrido(3,4-c)pyridine that produce photo-monoadducts and a dermatological base containing appropriate auxiliaries or additives, is new.
