Appliance has a frequency conversion unit which converts a signal, contained in a communication which has been sent and received, into intermediate frequency signal. A signal analyzer applies a preset expansion demodulation to the latter and calculates power level for each pseudo random code. Bar charts of power levels against assigned code numbers indicate the symbol rate from the bar widths.
