A bending device (4) comprising a press (9) with locally fixed pressing table (8) and vertically movable pressing ram (14) has two console brackets (7) fixable on the pressing table in series spaced out behind each other with pipe sockets (10) able to swivel about horizontal axes (11) and having straight-line socket channels (12) which are open on the top. A bending tool (16) which can be attached to the pressing ram fits between the pipe sockets and has a U-section longitudinally convex curved deformation channel (17) open to the bottom whilst bolt-like lift restrictors (13) are fixable diagonally off-set next to the pipe sockets on the pressing table.
