ORTHOGONALLY POLARIZED TRANSMISSION ANTENNA AND TRANSMISSION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An orthogonally polarized transmission antenna and transmission method are to add an additive RF(Radio frequency) carrier to a transmitted signal, thereby reducing the number of antenna necessary in transmitting the carrier signal to the half. CONSTITUTION: An orthogonally polarized transmission antenna comprises: a first antenna component exciting a first linear electric field vector and capable of transmitting a first signal consisting of carrier wave; and a second antenna component exciting a second linear electric field vector orthogonal to the first linear electric field vector and capable of transmitting a second signal consisting of carrier wave. The first antenna component and the second antenna component are substantially arranged with a relation of +45degree/-45degree and are packaged to maintain co-phase centers. The antenna further comprises an ICLA(Independent carrier linear amplifier)(12a,12b) connected to a common antenna unit having the antenna components, for amplifying a signal consisting of additive carrier waves.
