COSMETIC POWDER AND ITS USE AS MAKE-UP REMOVER, CLEANING SKIN OR MUCOUS MEMBRANE

PURPOSE: Cosmetic powder containing 50-95 wt.% of oil phase including one or more make-up removing oil selected from 5-50 wt.% of denatured starch or fatty acid ester having more than 12 carbons is provided in which the weight ratio of oil phase to starch is more than 1. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of the cosmetic powder comprises the following steps of: mixing oil phase containing one or more make-up removing oil with aqueous phase containing one or more denatured starch to produce dispersing solution of oil-water mixture; and dehydrating the mixture solution to produce the powder. The powder is protein-free and the denatured starch is octenyl succinate anhydride ester. The cosmetic powder can be used as it is or mixed in the aqueous composition, and the powder is specially suitable for removing the long lasting make-up composition.
