PURPOSE: A surface-mounted circularly polarized wave antenna and communication equipment using the same is to allow the circularly polarized wave antenna to be surface-mounted and thereby miniaturize the antenna and a communication equipment having the antenna. CONSTITUTION: A surface-mounted circularly polarized wave antenna(10) comprises: a substrate(11) having a first main face, a second main face and at least one side face extending between the first main face and the second main face; a first ground electrode(12) formed on most of the first main face; a radiation electrode(13) formed on most of the second main face; a current supply electrode(14) having a strip shape, extending from one side face to the second main face, one corner of the current supply electrode arranged adjacent to one edge of the radiation electrode; a second ground electrode(15) formed on a substantially entire area of the side face in which the current supply electrode is formed, the second ground electrode being insulated from the current supply electrode and connected to the first ground electrode; and a degeneracy separation unit(13a) formed with respect to the radiation electrode.
