PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a facility for processing dredged mud in which the cost for transporting dredged mud onto the land is reduced and mixing properties with hardening agent, or the like, is improved when the dredged mud is regenerated. SOLUTION: On a vessel or a floating structure in a dredging water region, water content ratio of dredged mud is conditioned to fall within an appropriate range determined depending on at least the mean grain size and shape of soil particles contained the dredged mud and hot air accompanying an shock wave is blown to the conditioned dredged mud in order to evaporate moisture thus obtaining powder directly from the dredged mud. This method can be implemented with a system equipped with a dredged mud preprocessing facility and a drying facility. Higher effect can be attained by transporting the powder on gas flow.
