PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the danger of falling by making the hooking and removal of wires unnecessary at a high place during connecting and adding work for excavation rods and providing definite holding of the excavation rods. SOLUTION: A suspension fittings for the excavation drills is equipped with a suspension fitting main body 16 with an insertion hole 17 fittable to a male joint 12 of an excavation rod 10 opened at a lower surface, a suspension hook 19 attached to the upper portion of this main body, and linking pins 13, 13 provided in a freely appearing and disappearing in a horizontal direction so as to link by straddling a notch 14 at the side face of the male joint appearing from the inner side face of the insertion hole 17. The suspension fittings of this excavation rod comprises a rising an falling cylinder 22 which is externally inserted in a freely rising and falling manner to the main body of suspension fittings and the linking pin 13 appears and disappears from the inner side face of the insertion hole 17 by the up and down motions of the fittings, an operation ring member 26 restricting the falling of the rising and falling cylinder for blocking the falling at the highest rising position of the cylinder 22, and a stopper member 33 for restricting the rise of the rising and falling cylinder for blocking the rise at the lowest filling position of the cylinder 22 provided at the upper position of the cylinder 22.
