<p>PURPOSE: A slider for optical head is provided to easily design and manufacture by using the approached optical field. CONSTITUTION: A slider for optical head(1) to proceed the record and/or regeneration for the recording media using the approached optical field is equipped with a slider member(3) and a catadioptic lens(7) attached and coupled to the slider member(3) by an adhesive(5). The slider member(3) is supported on the recording media by the suspension, in the same manner of the head slider used in the hard disk device. The catadioptic lens(7) having a first surface(S1) forming a concave refractive surface, a second surface(S2) forming a plane mirror and a third surface(S3) forming a non-spherical mirror condenses light(L) illuminated on the recording media. To proceed the record and/or regeneration for the recording media using the slider for optical head(1), the slider member(3) is floated on the recording media with a distance smaller than 50 nanometer between an opposite surface(S4) to the recording media, and the light(L) is illuminated on the first surface(S1) of the catadioptic lens(S7).</p> |
