The fuel cell arrangement has a fuel cell (1) with an anode and a cathode in chambers (4,6) separated by a membrane (5). The anode chamber (4) is supplied with hydrogen-rich gas and the cathode chamber (6) with air. Both chambers have separate outlet lines (7,8) that open into a catalytic afterburner (9) that is connected to a condensation heat exchanger (11) .
