METHOD OF PRODUCING VET GREEN DYE

PURPOSE: A method for producing vet green dye is provided which does not cause an environmental contamination, can reduce the production cost and waste water effluence and omit the post-treatment step by formation of impurities. CONSTITUTION: A method of producing vet green dye represented by the following formula (1) comprises the steps of providing alkoxide by reacting hydroxides of alcohol and alkali metal; forming dibenzanthronyl by adding benzanthrone into the alkoxide; forming diol compound by reacting diol with the cyclic compound cycled by adding acid; and methylation the diol compound.
