The invention concerns the use of a substance specifically binding with the peripheral benzodiazepin receptor (PBR) for making a composition for preventing or treating skin stress. The invention also concerns compositions containing said substances. Said compositions can be cosmetic or pharmaceutical, in particular for topical use in dermatology.
