WATER SUPPLY APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATIC ICE MAKER

PURPOSE: A water supply apparatus for an automatic ice maker is provided to improve the productivity by installing a water supply apparatus in a refrigerator regardless of the kind of water supply apparatuses without changing the structure of a refrigerator. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(50) for water supply is fixed by bolts to cover a cap(53) on the rear end of a first water supply pipe(51) as well as to insert a second water supply pipe(52) into a penetrated hole(110) formed on the upper end of a refrigerator(100). The end of a connecting pipe on a water container is connected to the front end of the first water supply pipe while the other end of the connecting pipe is connected to the rear end of a water container assembly. Water is fed to the first water supply pipe with its rear end closed by the cap through the connecting pipe if a user fills the water container assembly with water. An on/off plate(55) is opened to feed water to an automatic ice maker(20) through the second pipe(52) while the water is being fed if a signal to supply water is fed to the control unit(50).
