<p>A record / reproduce head support mechanism of a magnetic disk device or optical disk device having an actuator for minute displacement prevents the degradation of the actuator performance and increase reliability. The record / reproduce head support mechanism includes head components such as a slider, a suspension and an actuator. The slider is provided with an electromagnetic element or optical module. The slider is connected with the actuator held by the suspension so that the actuator can move the slider relative to the suspension. Gaps exist between the head components. Preferably, means for reducing friction is provided in the gaps.</p> |
