LATCH HOUSING FOR VOICE COIL MOTOR OF HARD DISK DRIVE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A latch housing for voice coil motor of hard disk drive and a manufacturing method therefor is provided to decrease an assembling cost and a permissive error by installating a magnet adjacent to a voice coil attached to an actuator arm. CONSTITUTION: A disk drive(20) has a plurality of magnet disks(22) for rotating at the axis of a spindle motor(24). A recording head(26) is fixed to a flecture arm(28). The flecture arm(28) is attached to an actuator arm(30) for rotating at the axis of a bearing assembly(32). A voice coil(33) is attached to a terminal of the bearing assembly(32), and is located to be adjacent to a magnet(34). The magnet(34) is installed at a magnet plate(36) attached to a base plate of the disk drive(20). The voice coil(33) is adjacent to an upper magnet(39) installed at a magnet plate(40). The upper plate(40) is divided from the lower plate(36) by a spacer(41).
