METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECORDING TIME INFORMATION OF RECORDING DIGITAL DATA STREAM

PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for recording time information of recording digital data stream is provided to quickly and accurately perform a search operation without a specific additional equipment by recording the time information of a recording digital data stream corresponding to a time format of managing information. CONSTITUTION: A counter(83) circularly counts a clock of a voltage control oscillator(81) to the extent of 3374 in a low-order 12 bits. A time stamp detector(71) detects a time stamp of an IEEE 1394 of each transmission stream packet and provides the detected time stamp to a time counter trigger(73) when a digital receiving processor of a streamer(200) outputs a digital data. A T flip-flop(75) toggles an output value when rising a clock and inputs a divided clock to a phase difference detector(77). The phase difference detector(77) outputs an error signal according to a phase difference of two input pulse signals. The voltage control oscillator(81) adjusts an oscillating frequencies according to the error signal outputted from the phase difference detector(77).
