PURPOSE: A method for cell mapping through a simple calculation is provided to use a fixed decimal point processor of 16-bit having a 32-bit accumulator. CONSTITUTION: A fixed decimal point processor of 16-bit contains a 32-bit accumulator and three internal registers(R1,R2,R3). Therefore, eight positive integers(A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H) are calculated for cell mapping an ITU-TV.34 recommendation by using the fixed decimal point processor of 16-bit. The method of cell mapping of ITU-TV.34 recommendation by using the fixed decimal point processor of 16-bit uses the 32-bit accumulator and three inner registers for simply calculating eight memory addresses to simplify the cell mapping.
