METHOD FOR UNIFYING MELTING FURNACE AND DIRECT REDUCTIVE FURNACE USING CRYOGENIC RECTIFICATION

PURPOSE: A method is provided to apply outlet off gas from a melting furnace for increasing amount of manufactured steel in steel works. CONSTITUTION: A melting furnace gas stream(30) is transferred to an oxide gas removing system(117) from a water-gas conversion reacting section(114). The system contains an absorber using high temperature carbide potassium as a solvent and a stripper. The solvent is regenerated from a stream(44) using remaining nitrogen and vapor in a stripper top and a mixture with carbon dioxide and remain nitrogen is outlet through a stream(34). A methane generator generates methane as all remain carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide reacts to hydrogen. Gas mixture from a methane section(120) is transferred to a drier(123) removing water from gas mixture through a stream(36), and furnace gas removed water is outlet from the drier through a stream(40). The drier is regenerated by a remaining nitrogen stream(45) and nitrogen mixture and water is outlet from the drier through the stream(38).
