<p>Benzenesulfonic acid derivatives which are utilizable as a dopant for electron-conjugated polymers and are represented by general formula (3) wherein X is hydrogen or hydroxy and R3 and R4 each is hydrogen, alkyl, etc. Examples of the derivatives include 3-sulfobenzamide, 3-sulfobenzoylurea, N-methyl-3-sulfobenzamide, and 5-sulfosalicylamide. Doping an electron-conjugated polymer with any of these compounds gives a conductive polymeric material which has high conductivity and excellent heat resistance and is usable as a conductive cathode material for solid electrolytic capacitors.</p> |
