The invention concerns a connecting and bracing clip (20) for two clamp fittings (16, 18). The clip is formed by a substantially rectilinear band having two separate support zones (22, 24) spaced in the strip longitudinal direction (L). Each of said zones has position-retaining means (22A, 24A 28, 30) for co-operating with a clamp fitting (16, 18) for maintaining the latter in a position wherein the clamp fitting geometrical axis is parallel to the clip longitudinal direction (L). The latter includes preformed retaining means (26) capable of co-operating with the object to be clamped to retain the clip relatively to said object, at least with respect to a displacement in the clip longitudinal direction.
