PURPOSE: A method provides a call processing function to service a radio packet data communication in a radio exchanger of high capacity, by enabling to share a wire/wireless source with other call in establishing an initial call in case that there is no transmission of packet data for a fixed time. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the processes of: checking a packet data service request by reading a service option value in a call establishing message by sensing a call establishing request of a subscriber; establishing a frame relay path connecting with a network and establishing PPP, IPCP(Internet Protocol Control Protocol) and TCP(Transmission Control Protocol); exchanging packet data through the corresponding traffic path by establishing the traffic path by connecting a switch in the exchanger; checking whether the data packet is transferred or not for a fixed time by observing the connection state of a call through the traffic path; shifting the traffic path to a pause state by releasing switch sources by generating a call release message and by releasing the frame relay path and a terrestrial channel in case that a time is expired; and reestablishing switch sources by checking whether the packet data from the network or the subscriber is transferred again, and reestablishing the terrestrial channel and the frame relay path. |
