HARD DISK DRIVE FOR REDUCING SOUND NOISE AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A hard disk drive for reducing sound noise is provided to increase the data access speed by the movement of the data read/write component of the hard disk drive assembly. CONSTITUTION: A servo control system(60) makes a transducer(16) located on a required track of the disk surface exactly. The transducer(16) moves to a new track at a distance from a first track, when a controller proceeds a search routine. Gray codes of tracks located between the new track and the first track are read by the transducer(16) moving transversely on a disk(12), which makes the controller discriminate periodically whether the transducer(16) is moving transversely on a the disk surface at a required velocity and accelerated velocity.
