PURPOSE: A center gas filled inflater is provided to process less complicatedly than an inflater including a side charging port by locating a pyrotechnic generator separably from a pressure tool. CONSTITUTION: A center gas filled inflater comprises: a pressure vessel(22) including a first opening(114) and storing inflation gas; a pyrotechnic generant housing(130) separated from the pressure vessel(22), and generating a product for heating inflation gas; the first burst disk(160) equipped on the pressure vessel(22) for sheltering the first opening(114) after a pressure vessel(22) is full of flated gas to the fixed pressure and connected with the pyrotechnic generant housing(130), for the product of combustion supports the opening of the first burst disk(160); and a screen(150') including a control orifice(154) for controlling the rate of pressure increase and the combustion ratio of pyrotechnic material.
