PURPOSE: A method for choosing an icon of a main menu for digital television is provided to select each menu by using menu icon of a main menu screen. CONSTITUTION: A method for choosing an icon of a main menu for digital television, displaying the main menu screen on a monitor screen, comprises the steps of: outputting the main menu screen; outputting a new menu icon screen by a remote controller; selecting an icon on the outputted icon screen; alternating the selected icon with an existing icon, and outputting the alternated icon. When alternating the icon, data of the selected icon is stored in an EPROM and outs to the main menu screen. |
