PURPOSE: A method for adjusting a location of an OSD(On Screen Display) system for TV is provided to decide a genre of a broadcasting program, by using information added to a broadcasting signal in a broadcasting system supplying an extended data service, and to automatically control the location of the OSD system so that the location is not overlapped with a location of broadcasting characters, frequently utilized in the corresponding genre. CONSTITUTION: A method for adjusting a location of an OSD(On Screen Display) system on TV, capable of receiving a broadcasting signal of a broadcasting system supplying an extended data service, comprises the steps of: deciding a program genre in information added to the broadcasting signal; and adjusting a displayed location of the OSD system so that the displayed location is not overlapped with a location of character information, utilized in the program genre; displaying the OSD on a middle of a left side of a screen, when a received program is about sports; displaying the OSD on an upper right side of the screen, when the program is about news or music; and displaying the OSD on the original OSD location, when the program is about other things. |
