PURPOSE: A method for searching primary data through converting communication output for projection television is provided to search the primary data of a chip for controlling convergence, by converting an RS232C format which is outer serial communication output, utilized in a windows environment, into a 3-wire bus capable of being recognized in the chip. CONSTITUTION: A method for searching primary data through converting communication output for projection television, controlling convergence by using a chip for controlling the convergence and comprises the steps of: setting up addresses and data to which search data and address data are variously set up through a process of inputting a key; transmitting the set data; converting the transmitted data into a 3-wire bus capable of being recognized in the chip; outputting interfaced data to a convergence module unit through a process of interfacing, when the conversion is performed normally; controlling convergence of a driver; and searching primary data for controlling convergence through the process of controlling the convergence.
