PURPOSE: A washer for a lead screw is provided to easily paint a lubricant on the surface of a lead screw as well as to remove the lubricant on the surface of the lead screw. CONSTITUTION: A washer for a lead screw covers the outer circumference of a lead screw(10) to butt a protrusion(120) with a screw groove(11) of the lead screw, and then to revolve the lead screw if a user desires to remove a lubricant on the surface of the lead screw. The lubricant is easily removed from the screw groove and the surface of the lead screw. The surface of the lead screw is kept clean by inserting a piece of cloth between the washer and the lead screw. The user is able to remove the lubricant on the whole area of the lead screw by repeating the action.
