HETEROCYCLIC ALKOXYAMINE AS CONTROLLING AGENT FOR CONTROLLING RADICAL POLYMERIZATION REACTION

PURPOSE: Polymerizable compositions containing one or more ethylenical unsaturated monomers or oligomers and heterocyclic alkoxyamine are provided which have high reactivity and are capable of controlling the molecular weight of polymers easily. CONSTITUTION: Polymerizable compositions containing one or more ethylenical unsaturated monomers or oligomers and heterocyclic alkoxyamine of the general formula (1a) and (1b) are provided. Also provided is a method for the polymerization of the ethylenically unsaturated monomers and a use of the heterocyclic alkoxyamine compound for controlling the polymerization. A polymerization method of intermediate N-oxyl derivatives and N-oxyl derivatives present with the ethylenically unsaturated monomers and a process for preparing a new amine precursor and 5-ring heterocyclic amine are also provided.
