PURPOSE: A method is provided to improve the adhesive strength of repair coating coated on the coated material in advance and a coating composition used for the method, is provided. CONSTITUTION: A coating composition contains(a)(i) a bridge agent ingredient containing more than one amino-plast resin, (ii) a film formation ingredient containing more than one polymer and (b) a cohesion increasing addition containing more than one ingredient having Sn(IV), and (c) a catalyst promoting reaction between the bridge agent and the polymer. Then the coating composition is coated and hardened on a material. Finally, repair coating is coated on the coated material.
