PURPOSE: An exothermic assembly is provided to have excellent cropping effect by maintaining high heat and fireproof property and to increase a yield rate of a casting product. CONSTITUTION: An exothermic assembly is composed of an oxide metal, an oxidizer, a fireproof aggregate, and an oxide accelerator as base components. The assembly is a mold material molded and hardened from a mixture which adds a glass hollow fine sphere. The glass hollow fine sphere is distributed among the base of the mold material. The glass hollow fine sphere is made from a glass material such as soda silicate glass which is mixed with 72% of SiO2, 14 to 16% of Na2O and 5 to 9% of CaO, and of which the melting temperature is about 800°C.. The amount the glass hollow fine sphere is at least 10wt%, desirably 20 to 40wt%.
